Although McClure Tables engineers all of the tables that we sell on our website, the Adroit 9-foot and 12-foot shuffleboard tables are actually imported models that are designed for truly competitive gameplay. While most shuffleboard companies use a plank and call it a butcher block for the main playing field, the alley on the Adroit tables are legitimate glue-edged butcher blocks made out of the finest Russian birch and finished with a 10-step polyurethane lacquer.
The term “adroit” is actually a synonym for “dexterous,” meaning “clever or skillful in using the hands or mind” according to Webster’s Dictionary. This makes it a perfectly appropriate name for the quality of imported shuffleboard table sold by McClure Tables.
These tables are great for heavy gameplay as they come with climate adjusters, which put pressure on parts of the main alley that may become uneven over time as the wood warps. However, this problem is generally not frequent, as Russian birch is an extremely resilient material for this kind of game play.
As far as the finish for the table itself, there are two attractive options that players can choose from: A dark, rich mahogany or a lighter, almost burnt-looking chestnut.
The Adroit table is one of our more affordable table products, although it comes with everything you will need to make sure you can play games, including a full set of eight deluxe pucks and one full pound of table wax standard. To top it all off, the table comes with a door-in-leg shelving unit to store all of your table’s accessories.
Because this table has a very basic look, it can ideally fit into any style of game room. Whether you have a man cave or a themed family game space, the Adroit table will fit in perfectly.
